Responsibilities
• Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
• Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
• 5-7 years of experience in the field
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required..
• Ideal candidate should also possess strong Informix data replication server skills with production support experience in a global environment.
• Responsibilities include ongoing system administration, configuring, managing, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• The ideal candidate would be having 3-5 years of experience in Informix database technologies and the archiving and installation of the full Informix suite on both HP UX(Unix) and NT boxes. This includes production support experience in troubleshooting problems as they occur.
• Experience required in scripting languages like shell/perl/java/php is highly desirable.
• Production experience in troubleshooting, recovery and backup is highly desirable
• Resource will ensure 24x7 support in shifts
