Description:

Define requirements, analyze, design, enhance, and develop software systems to efficiently and effectively fulfill corporate initiatives and planning/development objectives.
Maintain technical skill set across a broad range of software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks.
Respond to system failure and performance events, taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of the problem.
Respond to system usage questions and conduct training classes to empower system users with the knowledge to maximize their use of developed systems.
Develop and present I/S and User management comprehensive presentations of proposed systems.
Assist in development and mentoring of the department's programming staff to ensure that I/S Standards and Procedures and development methodology are followed and that resource potential is realized.
Complete the necessary training to perform job responsibilities. Code and maintain applications from pre-defined specifications.
Provide support for existing user applications.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of programming experience with a solid understanding of client/server operating systems and web development.
Working knowledge of HTML, ASP, JavaScript, SQL, RDBMS, and Object Oriented Programming required.
Experience with Windows 2000 or 2003 and IIS MS Web Server required.
Experience with Visual Studio.net, ASP.net, VB.net, C# and .Net environment preferred.
Experience with SQL Server 2000 and 2005 preferred.
Experience with XML, VB 6 and Java is a plus.
Attention to detail and strong logical reasoning ability required.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
Excellent communication skill in technical and non-technical forums is vital to this position.
Ability to work together as a team player on both large and small projects.
The candidate must have an acceptable score on the CPAB (Computer Programmer Aptitude Battery) test.
