Description:Sr. Director, Product Management/DevelopmentBe a Creative Force in Defining Product Innovations: Content & Communities Technorati is seeking a creative, zealous, high-energy, self-starting, seasoned Product Management leader to lead a team responsible for defining and delivering a suite of highly targeted content sites and communities focused on an array of popular culture subjects. You will provide leadership in furthering Technorati's strategic objectives by defining product innovations that engage our audience, grow membership and participation, and create high-value revenue opportunities. We?re looking for an individual who has expertise in delivering original content and wants to make a difference by defining the overall editorial voice of Technorati.com You must have passion, expertise, and leadership in social media, editorial and publishing, search and discovery, community management, and user experience design. Experience with ad marketplaces and systems, and reputation and identity systems is considered a plus. We?re looking for some who understands our audience (avid consumers of emergent media): bloggers, blog readers, info junkies, news hounds, marketing and PR types, and casual internet surfers and be intimately familiar with the established players and recent arrivals in Web 2.0 space. Thinking out of the box, define, manage and own content strategies for the web. ? Lead a team that consistently meets commitments and performance objectives ? Be an advocate for our users and define and create new innovative services that engage them Create product adoption scenarios and growth plans ? Deliver on-time and up-to-spec products and servicesDevelop, collect and analyze product performance metrics ? Develop, manage, and perform user scenarios, use cases and market studies ? Manage application interaction design, workflow and navigation, and website information architecture ? Instill and maintain total commitment to quality and operational excellence in every product and service you create and impact Requirements: ? 10+ years of relevant experience ? Strong Product Management experience in search, online (performance) advertising or internet commerce ? Demonstrate fluent knowledge of emerging web technologies, standards and practices and social trends. ? Rich content management, publishing, and editorial background with a passion for knowing what users want ? Problem and conflict solving abilities Comfortable working with large data sets Ability to inspire, motivate and influence direct reports and people across organizations and levels Strong communication and negotiation skills ? Communicate effectively with senior management on the progress and scope of the Products and services ? Bachelor?s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience Company: Technorati.
